Companies and individuals alike, organizations - they are all in a fight to get a share from the web browsers pie. Many of them free, but that doesn’t mean they don’t worth your attention. What do their developers gain if the browser is free? Well this is a good question. Companies get to promote themselves and other products they have, they get to change standards in web development. Organizations - most non profit - communities that do it for sharing a passion; individuals - each of them work in a certain area and they compiled a browser that suits their needs, and off course, other’s needs that share those interests. Some things to keep in mind when choosing a web browser would be: technical support and reliability, security vulnerabilities, features, speed in surfing.

As a web publisher I have faced many times with the need to make different changes to my websites and optimize them. Any changes to the templates / layouts were always followed by changes to the ads placement within the website and integration in the new template. This begun to be more a problem as I have passed from HTML built websites to CMS, where the content pages have increased dramatically, and the change of the ad code was not an option anymore in efficiency terms. Having my own ad server was the solution I needed to manage fast all my advertising campaigns on all my websites, to change the color of the ad or just the ad itself, to change the ad / affiliate network monetizing my websites in just a matter of some clicks.

Not long time ago having a website would have been for many a pain in the ass. Developing in HTML, or even using WYSIWYG editors would have taken a while to get your website up and running. Even though What You See Is What You Get editors are still popular among many of us, it’s not practical for dynamic websites, where you add content often and need the power to organize it fast for uploading it to the Internet. The same goes with Blogs, that would be more like a recent Internet invention of the Social Networking. As in any cases, where there’s a need, the offer won’t take long to appear. Well in this case, I am talking about free offers for you all, as not many are willing to spend much money for your web presence. |
